    The Stanford Research Institute Experiments

    Stage 5 — Interrogation: The viewer's subconscious is systematically questioned to extract specific information about the target.

    Stage 6 — 3D Modeling: A complete model of the target is constructed from all accumulated data.

    This structured approach was designed to separate genuine psychic signal from analytical overlay (the conscious mind's tendency to interpret and fabricate).

    Key Operational Successes

    The program's operational applications produced results that even skeptics found difficult to dismiss:

    Joe McMoneagle and the Soviet Submarine: In 1979, remote viewer Joseph McMoneagle was tasked with viewing a building at a Soviet naval facility in Severodvinsk. He described — and sketched — an enormous submarine under construction, larger than any known vessel. Four months later, satellite imagery confirmed the launch of the Typhoon-class submarine, the largest ever built, matching McMoneagle's descriptions precisely.

    The Hostage Crisis: During the 1979 Iran hostage crisis, remote viewers accurately described the location and conditions of American hostages, information later confirmed by released captives.

    Pat Price and the Soviet R&D Facility: Viewer Pat Price described a Soviet weapons research facility at Semipalatinsk with such accuracy — including details of a massive crane assembly visible in later satellite photographs — that the CIA considered the session "eight martini" results (so shocking they needed eight martinis to recover).

    The Statistical Evidence

    In 1995, the American Institutes for Research commissioned a review of the STARGATE program. Statistician Dr. Jessica Utts of UC Davis concluded that the statistical evidence for anomalous cognition was overwhelming — the effect sizes were comparable to those accepted in mainstream medical research. The probability that the results were due to chance was less than one in a billion.
