      Hold the five symbols — circle, cross, waves, square, star — loosely in mind and choose the one that feels right rather than guessing logically.

      Complete all 25 trials

      Continue through the deck without doubling back. Treat each card as independent.

      At the end, compare your hit total to the chance baseline of 5. Scores of 9 or more are statistically interesting; sustained averages above 10 across many runs would be the historical 'high-scoring' signal.
