    Binaural Frequencies

When two slightly different frequencies are played in each ear, your brain perceives a third "beat" at the difference frequency — synchronizing neural oscillations to the target state. Use headphones for full effect.

    Quick Guide

    • Headphones required: Binaural beats only work with stereo headphones — each ear must hear a different frequency.
    • Session length: Minimum 15 minutes for noticeable effect. 30–60 minutes is optimal.
    • Delta (0.5–4 Hz): Deep sleep & healing. Best at bedtime. Optimal dosage: 45 min.
    • Theta (4–8 Hz): Meditation & psychic work. The "gateway" frequency. Optimal: 30 min.
    • Alpha (8–14 Hz): Relaxed focus & creative flow. Daily use. Optimal: 20 min.
    • Beta (14–30 Hz): Intense concentration. Use sparingly. Optimal: 15 min max.
    • Volume: Keep it low — just audible. The brain entrains best at comfortable levels.

    Step by Step

How to use the binaural frequency generator

Configure a binaural beat session for relaxation, focus, meditation, or sleep using stereo headphones.

    Approx. 20 min

    1. 1

      Put on stereo headphones

Binaural beats only form when each ear receives a different tone in isolation. Speakers will not produce the effect.

    2. 2

      Choose a brainwave band

Pick delta (sleep), theta (meditation), alpha (relaxed focus), beta (alert focus) or gamma (peak cognition) based on the state you want to entrain.

    3. 3

      Set the carrier frequency

Adjust the base tone to a comfortable pitch, typically 100–300 Hz. The beat frequency is the difference between left and right ears.

    4. 4

      Start playback at low volume

Begin quietly and raise volume only to a gentle, non-fatiguing level. Loud playback does not increase entrainment.

    5. 5

      Hold the session 15–30 minutes

Entrainment typically builds after 6–10 minutes. Stay still, eyes closed, and let attention rest on the beat.

    6. 6

      Return slowly

Stop playback, sit for a minute before standing, and avoid driving immediately after deep delta or theta sessions.

Binaural Frequencies — Questions & Answers

When two tones of slightly different frequency are played one in each ear, the brain perceives a third 'beat' equal to the difference. That perceived beat can entrain brainwave activity toward the same frequency.
